What is a Building Permit?

A permit is a license which grants legal permission to start construction of a building project. It provides the means for building officials to protect us by reducing the potential hazards of unsafe construction and therefore ensuring the public health, safety and welfare.

 

How do I rent a pavilion at Sandy Beach Park?

Reservations are made at the township office. Reservations are not required but recommended to assure pavilion is available. Visit the Parks & Recreation quick link for additional information. 

 

Where do I go for zoning and building permits?

Both zoning and building permit applications are available at either the township office or the Forms & Documents quick link. Please contact the township secretary for any questions.

 

How do I volunteer for a Township Board?

Call or email the township secretary and she will add your name to a list. When a position becomes available she will contact you. 

 

Iā€™m a registered voter, but where do I vote on Election Day?

The north precinct location is the Johnsonburg Firehall 99 Clarion Rd. The south precinct is located at the township building 1537 Montmorenci Rd.

The 2022 Act 13 Funds of $45,395.11 was used for emergency preparedness and public safety, fire services.
